So what a time it has been! Sunday I got baptized and it was awesome. Revelation 19:6-9 talks about how we are the brides of Christ and how he is like our groom. Baptism is a public declaration of your love for him, much like wedding vows. If anyone is married, remember how totally nuts it was standing at that altar, waiting for your lovely bride, or remember walking into that room and seeing your amazing groom? Now what is it like to be the bride of someone who is perfect in every way. Who loves you so passionately and unconditionally. What a rush huh!

The next day I turned 21 and I am saying thank you for the those years and ready to devote whatever time I have left to God. What else could satisfy more? But if we, as believers (NOT DO-GOODERS), are going to spend an eternity with Christ in heaven, why should it matter what we do in our earthly lives? The way I see it, it is like, Jesus is a VERY IMPORTANT guest who is coming into our homes; into our lives. And when we know someone very important is coming, someone whom we care almost poetically for, what do we do the moment we find out? We neaten this, and dust and fix that! So I am going to spend the rest of my life working to be as ready for him as I can be. And I’ll never deserve him, or be worthy, but he doesn’t care. And so I “offer my body as a living sacrifice,” because it’s the least I can do for my perfect, perfect groom.
